We don’t just focus on translating the words of the document or text. We consider these things as well:
– Jurisdictional influences on formatting, syntax, and vocabulary
– Practice-area specific influences on formatting, syntax and vocabulary
– The intended purpose of the text and how style and word selection can influence it
– The audience of the translation and the influence of cultural considerations on word selection
We offer the option for you to have a certified, sworn, notarised or legalised (Apostille) translation. These are provided by a team of translators that have been rigorously vetted by us and their qualifications verified. We ask in the case of certification, to contact us regarding the type of certification you need. Such translations have an additional cost of 3-16% of the initial translation quote.
Upon request, we can translate up to 12,000 words per day by a human translator, and up to 50,000 words per day for machine translations with light review.

All translations are treated with absolute confidentiality for the entire life cycle of the information. This includes information about the translation itself, the nature of the translation and all other information associated with any client communication. Furthermore, all translators on our team are bound by non-disclosure agreements to protect sensitive information.
We work with anyone that requires a legal translation in Spanish to English, or English to Spanish. Whether you are a law firm, a company or an individual, we are happy to work with you.
We work with lawyers and law students from all corners of the globe. In-person classes and workshops are only currently available in Madrid, Spain.
We provide receipts for all classes in the event that an individual wants to use it as a company or tax-deductible expense.
For Law firms in Spain – Classes can be paid with the State foundation training for employment (FUNDAE)
TOLES stands for Test of Legal English skills and is available in 3 levels: Foundation, Higher and Advanced. It was developed for legal professionals that do not speak English as a first language.
The primary focus of the TOLES exam is to test an individual’s ability in the practical use of Legal English. The exam covers topics such as contract drafting, writing emails and typical conversations that lawyers are involved in.
Our bespoke courses: Whether it is our Introduction to International Legal English, our contract drafting intensive or one of the other myriad of courses and workshops we have available, each student will receive a Lawyerly certificate upon completion.*

TOLES: This exam is not a pass or fail examination. All candidates will receive a TOLES certificate with the grade they achieved for their respective examination level.
* Students must attend 70% of their classes and pass their final assessment in order to receive a certificate for the courses by Lawyerly.
We have a blended learning approach. We use a combination of industry-renowned books as well as our own materials such as videos, files, and workbooks.
We adapt these materials to our learners’ needs, based on their required learning style.
Our prices for both our legal translations and our legal English classes, are exclusive of VAT.
VAT will apply and differ depending on the following:
– If are a private client residing in the European Union
– If you are an EU-based company without a VAT number
– If you are a company or private client outside of the European Union.
